Este aviso se publica en inglés, y la versión en inglés es la que prevalece.

This notice explains what WebMySite does with information about you and about your business. It is written to be read rather than to be complete in a legal sense, and it says only what we actually do.

Who we are

WebMySite is operated by Creaholik. We build small-business websites and they are made and changed through a WhatsApp conversation. If you want to reach a person about anything on this page, send a message on WhatsApp and ask for a person; one of us will answer in the same conversation. You can also write to hello@webmysite.co.uk, which a person reads.

What we hold about you

Your phone number

Your phone number is your account. It is recorded the first time you message us and it is what tells us that a request to change a website comes from the person who claimed it. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or pass it to anyone else except the payment provider named below when you claim a website.

The conversation

We keep the messages you send us and the replies we send you. They are how the website gets built and changed, and they are the record of what you asked for. Replies are automated unless you ask for a person.

What we look up about your business

Before we build a first draft we read what is already published about your business — a listing, a social media page, a website you already have. That is public information and we use it to write a first draft for you to look at. Nothing we find is published anywhere until you claim a website and it goes live.

Payment

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. We keep a record of what you paid and when, which we need for our accounts.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your information to anyone.
  • We do not use your conversation to advertise to you elsewhere.
  • We do not send marketing messages to a number that has asked us to stop.
  • We do not let anybody other than the phone number that claimed a website ask for changes to it.

Who Jude is

Some businesses first hear from us through Jude, a freelance web designer. Jude works independently and is not employed by WebMySite. He makes a concept for a business from what they have published, shows it to them, and if they want it he hands them over to us — after that, everything is between you and WebMySite.

Jude cannot agree prices or terms on our behalf. The website service is provided and billed by WebMySite, and this notice covers both his approach and our handling of your information.

Drafts you never asked for

We sometimes build a draft website for a business before that business has contacted us, and send it to them to look at. A draft is never published, never indexed by search engines, and carries a link on every page that removes it. If you have received one and want it gone, use that link or reply telling us to stop, and both the messages and the draft stop the same day.

How long we keep things

A draft that is never claimed is deleted after fourteen days. If you claim a website, we keep your account, your conversation and your website for as long as the website is live, and for a short period afterwards in case you come back. Our accounting records are kept for as long as the law requires.

Your website when you stop paying

Your website stays live until the end of the period you have paid for and then goes offline. If you have bought the website outright you can take it to another host and it remains yours.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress sets a small number of cookies that are needed for the site to work, and nothing on this site follows you to another one.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request on WhatsApp from the number the account belongs to, or email hello@webmysite.co.uk, and we will answer it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this notice

If we change what we do with your information, we change this page, and the date at the top of it tells you when it last changed.
